Most bathroom heaters just blow warm air around. The problem? That usually leaves cold spots on your walls and tiles—and that’s exactly where mold loves to move in. The gear inside We don’t cut corners on the hardware. The lamps are wrapped in high-purity quartz. Why? Because quartz can handle the “thermal shock” of clicking on and off all day without cracking. Inside, there’s a tungsten filament filled with halogen. This stops the glass from turning black over time, so you get the same strong heat from day one until the lamp finally wears out. Depending on your room size, these usually run anywhere from 250W to 600W. Finding the sweet spot Here is the tricky part: placement. Because the heat is so concentrated, you have to get the mounting height just right. If you hang them too low, it’ll feel like you’re standing under a heat lamp at a buffet—way too hot. But if they’re too high, the heat loses its punch before it hits the walls, and you lose that mold-fighting edge. Plus, for the best results, pair the heater with a timed exhaust fan. The infrared lamp dries the surfaces, and the fan kicks the moisture out of the house. It’s a simple setup, but it stops the mold problem before it even starts.
