But they have a habit of dying right when you need them most. That’s why so many people are switching to mirror infrared heaters. They just make more sense for a room full of steam. Where is the heat actually going? Think about a standard heat lamp. It pushes heat out in every direction—360 degrees. If it’s in your ceiling, half that warmth is just heating up your roof slab. Total waste. Mirror heaters are different. They use a polished parabolic reflector to grab that heat and bounce it straight down. It’s like a concentrated beam of warmth. You feel it immediately, and you aren’t paying to heat the attic. The battle against steam Water vapor is a nightmare for electronics. Cheap heaters usually have gaps where steam sneaks in, eats away at the wiring, and pops the filament. It’s frustrating. The better infrared units are built like tanks.
